    This place was utterly amazing. It sent me back to Japan were I lived for many years. This meal was so great and I almost cried at how amazing it was. And owner felt like they could be my grandparents. They were inviting and very hard working I can't wait to go again. If your a Japanese transplant looking for a taste of home this is the place to go. 10/10.

    This place is amazing! REAL Japanese food made by REAL Japanese people! The customer service is amazing also! I have eaten here for over 6 years and have never been disappointed. These prices are super cheap for such good food! When I first came here I was super surprised how cheap and good the food was! They even do big groups if you reserve in advance. The food comes out super quick! They’ve been open since 1983 and you feel very welcome here! BEST Japanese restaurant in Arizona! I definitely recommend Toh Zan to many people who are looking for cheap and amazing tasting food! Here is a picture of the kids meal and the Nagaoki Don! Enjoy!

    Excellent food at a good price. The lunch combinations are the best I've had in Arizona. Highly recommended!

    The food is good, depending on what you order. There was a previous comment on the tempura being soggy, and I'm sad to say it is true. I actually had to put it in the oven to make it crispy. However the katsu curry, dumplings, soup, and sashimi were good. Nothing really stood out. My final verdict is a middle of the road Japanese restaurant. すみません

    The food was delicious, The owner charming in a “grumpy Japanese chef” kinda way and the value outstanding. Will most definitely return and would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys authentic Japanese food.
